Our team was asked to build a native iOS app that would allow a user to pair a watch with a tracking beacon and then monitor the usage of the watch.
The watch had an LED for BLE status, a neopixel that we controlled and a haptic motor. When the watch became separated with the beacon the LED would flash and haptic motor would buzz.
Purpose
Before the time of AirTags, doctors had a grant to research behavior of children when wear a device like this. Their hypothisis was that it might help children remember something they left behind like an epipen.
